Dodgers Championship Players on Thin Ice for Not Returning to Los Angeles

Less than a week after winning the 2024 MLB World Series against the New York Yankees in five games, the Dodgers’ front office must focus on the players who have become free agents and could be on the hot seat for not returning to Los Angeles.
Here is the full list of Dodgers championship players who risk not returning to the Los Angeles team next season after becoming free agents:
Dodgers players could not be coming back after becoming free agents:
- Teoscar Hernández, OF
- Kiké Hernández, Utility
- Walker Buehler, SP
- Jack Flaherty, SP
- Joe Kelly, RHP
- Blake Treinen, RHP
It is worth mentioning that of these six players, the only one who received a qualifying offer from the Dodgers was Dominican outfielder Teoscar Hernández, and if he accepts the option, he would return for the 2025 season with a salary of just over $21 million.
If the Dodgers want to retain the rest of the players, they must negotiate new agreements in free agency. At the moment, it is unknown whether the front office has already begun talks with any of them, but manager Dave Roberts hinted that he would love to have Kiké Hernández, Blake Treinen, and a starting pitcher back.
